Wait… is pinnochio transmasc if he transitioned into being a real boy? If so he (especially) shouldn’t be assuming the gender of his child…

Imagine you’re Pinocchio. You’re a wooden puppet boy turned human by magic whose properties you are grateful for but can never fully understand.

You grow into a man, meet a woman, marry and try to start a family. The fairy tale continues.

Then remember the era this is taking place in. Many women die in childbirth for apparently no reason.

As the expectant father, you have many responsibilities, but you don’t have much to do towards the end of the pregnancy. You’re outside the delivery room, nervous, worried with any number of increasingly insane thoughts running through your head. It’s taking a long time. Why is it taking so long? Is something wrong?

And you used to be part of a tree. A literal fricking tree.

You’re human now, but you have no idea what that means for your progeny, or what weird hybrids and magic might do to the inside of a woman. You’d never even given it much thought until now. This is taking a really long time.

And that’s where the comic picks up.

TBH, the Good Fairy could have put in an appearance and set his mind at ease, but maybe she was busy…

Nah this is really awkwardly executed. Im guessing he thought she’d die from delivering a half-puppet baby? Idk this is a weird one

Never played Lies of P. Does that mean the actual title is Lies of Pinocchio? Or just a joke?

Lies of P is the full title, but the P does stand for Pinocchio, who you play as. It’s set in a city with lots of puppets, basically robots, that do the labor. I believe Pinocchio is a special puppet because he can lie and disobey humans. He/you use that to go on a Bloodbornesque tour of the city, fighting everything along the way. Haven’t played it myself, just heard good things and saw part of it mentioned in a video essay.

Honestly I’m just looking for a buzz after Elden Ring destroyed my future expectations for RPG games…

It’s a linear game, but I enjoyed it a lot. Not sure if the parrying is more forgiving or if the timing for parrying is just more direct, but I found it a lot easier to get into the rythmn compared to sekiro.
