In the name of nation building, Bill C-39 is fast-tracking a corporate agenda that doubles down on the worst features of Canada’s economic structure, an agenda that will leave widening inequality and broken treaties, accelerating climate change and expanding sacrifice zones in its wake. And it has fingerprints of the Business Council of Canada all over it.
These greedy fks are gonna act shocked and blame the voters if maple-MAGA ends up winning the next general election.
There is no “nation” if citizens are alienated and disenfranchised to the point where the majority stops caring.
Not saying Pierre PP cares. Which is why he was kept away from the PM’s office by the majority. People might not be as passionate about keeping them away from power next time.
For the NDP and Green fans, no your party isn’t winning. You got unelectable leaders too and majority doesn’t actually care about most of the random niche issues that NDP partisans hold dear.
When people can’t feed their family or afford rent, they stop giving a flying fk about bike lanes, palestine, pronouns, old growth forests, climate change, islamophobia, or whatever else. NDP cares more about random foreign and fringe issues than the workers and poor citizens of this country.
I still care about bike lanes and climate change because that is whats making things more unaffordable among other things.
Bike lanes are great and I care about them as well. Once most of us can’t afford cars and fuel, all lanes can become bike lanes.
This is the ugly truth right here. And that’s what these greedy fks are doubling down on.
For those that haven’t noticed yet. We’re about to see a resurgence of Nobility and Serfs. We’re the serfs.
The only difference is that the Nobility aren’t going to have any interest in our lives being sustainable (even less so than now).
