“Yeah man, dang ol’ prime directive, man. Danged if you do, danged if you don’t dang ol’.”
Man I tell you hwat Dale bout there-that dang ol transport, man. Got none that beam you’ like-an aint good’nuff fix you up wit’ some that turb’lence.
Dale would absolutely not use the transporter, doesn’t want the feds to get his DNA.
I think Hank would also need some convincing to use it over a good old reliable shuttle (using a propane/anti-propane reaction to power it). Boomhauer isn’t worried, having seen others use it without distress. Bill doesn’t even consider the possibility until after he’s been using it for a while (but still has a meltdown, wondering if the better version of him was destroyed).
Hank ends up using though after Kahn taunts him about it, not wanting his generically engineered superhuman Laoatian neighbour to get one up on him.
“Bobby, why are you wearing a girl’s minidress?”
“It’s a Louis Vuitton scant, and it’s unisex. Question: does Troi wear leotards? I don’t know, but the Chief Propane Engineer does!”
Am I the only one who loved the scant? I mean, aside from Boimler.
Unless you’re Scotty.
He’s so tough he can wear a red shirt and actually survive a 5 year mission.
I could see Dale as a very misinformed Romulan.
“The federation doesn’t want you to know what they’re up to in the neutral zone, you know… Radioactive tribble farms, android Vulcans, Gorn cloning!”
This ship doesn’t use those crystals to run, we run pure premium propane through the injectors. Our nacelles are the cleanest nacelles in the fleet.
That crew ain’t right
And then Hank starts telling the transporter chief that he’s doing everything wrong
“Pocket Tribble!”
My Mason 5000 can beat your “Enterprise” any day of the week!
