As much as I hate consumer culture, department stores, and talking head TV personalities, I unabashedly love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
No one outside of the internet hates themselves for enjoying something. It’s ok to critique a system that you are part of.
So true – after all, what choice do we have? FWIW I’m more amused that despite being “so smart” I’m still so easily swayed by nostalgia :)
