Why is that?
This particular pope called ‘Gender ideology’ the ‘ugliest danger of our time’ . I’m not gonna hold water for a man like that, especially not when the Catholic Church has not done nearly enough to root out all of its sexual abuse. Not to mention how they use the funding of public services in smaller and poorer countries (like, say, funding a prison) to force people there to accept more conservative stances from their local governments. Then there’s the whole money laundering, lack of transparency, the child mass graves, you know. Fun stuff. Fuck the pope, fuck the church, let them eat shit and die.

“This particular pope” happens to be, as a point of fact, the previous, already dead pope. I’m not gonna pretend like the Catholic Church is anything approaching a decent institution, nor that Leo hasn’t historically been less than ideal on LGBTQ rights, but you’re aiming that particular accusation at the wrong guy based on the quotes of a man who’s been dead for over a year.

Like I get that people are happy he isn’t one of the worse popes we’ve had in recent decades but come the fuck on y’all, he’s still the fucking Pope, leader of some bumfuck religion, chief of the premier child sexual abuse organization, actively refusing to cooperate with law enforcement or give us any insight into what the fuck has been happening for decades save for like, snippets, to keep the public happy. Full transparency and the full prosecution of every single person accused of child (sexual) abuse. Full transparency on where money is going in this black box of money laundering and corruption and political influencing. Anything short of that, you’re King Pederasty to me, and you deserve every bit of cancer that comes your way, idc if you’re the ‘good pope’.
