Tens of thousands of Czechs rallied on Saturday in the country’s biggest anti-government demonstration since 2019, protesting against defense spending cuts under Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and over fears his administration will target public media.
Why does everyone keep voting for idiots only to start protesting their idiotic policies shortly after. It should not be news to anyone who can read that all of this including the corruption is exacly what Babis stands for*
Because it’s not “everyone” who vote for these idiots. In pretty much every single country there’s a clear pattern: the less educated and more isolated rural people vote for like-minded politicians, who tend to do a shit job. Then the more educated and less prejudiced urban people get upset and start protesting.
I did not mean “all voters” but “every fucking country” recently with everyone.

No he did not. In last elections he got ~35%. The big part of a reason for this protest are actions of coalition parties which got only 8 and 7%.
You’re right, I misinterpreted the map.
Isn’t that what the post your replying to was saying? That outside the ‘educated’ metropolitan areas, people voted for the populist.
well, if 51% do vote for them, they win but, that leaves potentially an unhappy 49%, which is a lot of people.

Not the same people.
The problematic part is not spending quality time with neighbors and friends before the election to make sure that somebody is elected who is good for the country.
Because electoral politics are a sham when money buys power.
