This is pretty much what the German government did. Which the exception of afaik two plants which were near their design lifespan, all the others were scheduled for decomissioning because of being over their intended lifespan already.
These were really old plants based on outdated designs, being both increasingly insecure and uneconomic due to their age.
The operators themselves were in favour of shutting them down.
The uranium itself is sourced from various places, but the necessary uranium processing is largely still done in Russia.

Die AfD ist ehr mit der FPÖ vergleichbar, welche in einer ähnlichen Situation in Östereich an die Macht gekommen ist, da jede menge Korruption und Demokratiezersetzung betrieben hat, und trotz allem nach wie vor populär ist. Es ist illusorisch das Deutschland da in 4 Jahren oder so durch kommt und dann danach die Wähler klüger sind oder so was.

No, typically you use the DNS server of the domain provider.
Hosting your own DNS server is possible, but if you don’t have a static IP address the other DNS servers will have no idea which server to ask when your IP changes, so in this specific scenario it wouldn’t work. And in general it isn’t really worth it as you get a DNS server with your domain included.
DynDNS short for dynamic DNS is what you want. But IPv6 only websites are unfortunately even in 2026 still not accessible by many people due to their ISP only supporting IPv4.

The typical Russian citizen living in the imperial holdings doesn’t aspire to US free market style conditions, but they can see on social media and from personal connections / travels that other often even Russian speaking people living in the Baltic states and (pre-war) Ukraine enjoy significantly more personal freedom and often also higher quality of life.

The real fear the Russian government has is that some of their remaining imperial holdings also decide that enough is enough. So by attacking Ukraine and trying to cow the baltic states into submission, they are trying to frighten anyone that might see these states as positive examples how former soviet states can be much freer than they themselves are under Russian domination.
And the US is currently (intentionally or not) helping Russia in this information warfare against western European liberal governments.
And you are mixing up who is aggressive against whom. The eastern European states pose very little threat for Russia but feel (justified or not) massively threatened by them.
If there is no western European support (because for example Germany is ruled by the AfD, France by the FN and the UK by Reform… not exactly an unrealistic scenario right now, and the “algorithm” is helping them with that) then they can win, or at the very least pressure these smaller states to become vassals like Belarus is right now.

Most of these nuclear power plants are half a century old and had been overhauled already to the very limit of what was economically feasible. Continued operation would have meant building new reactor blocks next to them and decomissioning the existing ones.
