This was a Christmas present I finally got around to listening to. This pressing is pretty great. The dynamic range is on point.

About the album, fantastic concept. I love the Twin Peaks hotel aesthetic and themes. Not a bad song on this album IMO. It’s not groundbreaking for the band, but what makes them special is all over this album. I’d say it’s a bit more prog-wonky than they normally go and more bluesy. Some really great electronic elements add so much depth to their sound. God Terror is like a heavy metal NIN. Overall it’s less heavy than most albums, but the heavy is here.

I’m a huge BTBAM fan so take my rating with a grain of salt, 8.5/10.

My personal highlights are Psychomanteum and Slow Paranoia, best to listen to them back to back. That reused piano riff into distorted guitars between songs is 😙👌
