There definitely would have been a hard pivot in the rhetoric and dissonance had it been more deadly. There’d also be a lot fewer MAGA just because licking spittle off the ground became political.
The deniers will deny. Jesus, just look at MAGA today if you need another reminder. More dead people just means they’ll alter the conspiracy theory.
