    These are actually a bit of a cult classic in Australia. Very desirable, great 4wd campers.

      I see them around the US as well. But, not many. They’re really expensive relative a common domestic 4WD van.

            I know, but the commenter I replied to is obviously American and I didn’t want to just outright tell them, and thought it was more polite to just let the implication hang there.

          My 14’ trailer, build out to live in it, and my truck to tow it combined cost less than what’s in the OP.

      My guess is the photo is from Australia. The load on the roof implies it, and it kind of looks like Inskip Point, getting onto the Fraser Island ferry.

      I could be way off and it’s somewhere completely different. But it’s a memorable vibe and part of the world I obv won’t forget.
