and how that’d go down lol.
What, getting your ass beat half to death by Olympian athletes?
Please do not perceive me.

Having to log into the service to tell it “I don’t want to use you” is stupid.
You see, this guarantees that you have an account with the service, which means Microslop gets to report rising user engagement numbers.
Does it matter that the “engagement” was telling them to stuff their Onedrive where the sun don’t shine? No, not at all! A new user logged into the service. That’s all they care about.

Yep.
My mother submitted every single photo of me she has to some AI art service, spent the next six months sending me slopped-up photos of myself, and is somehow unable to understand why I might be upset about the situation.
Owning up to your own farts proudly is how one discovers true power.
Blaming the dog is to hide behind a falsehood, in fear of the truth.
The truth is, I farted, and it’s real nasty, and I’m real proud of it. I own this, such that none may wield it against me.

I quit IT work to be a mechanic. It’s exactly the same problem-solving process, but the problems are almost always way less arcane. I’m very happy with the switch.
If you wanted to make the switch yourself, the skill sets are very interchangeable. You’re just debugging an alternator instead of an Active Directory setup. If you have a willingness to learn you’ll be up to speed in under a year.

Second for sh.itjust.works
I picked this server cause the name was funny and it was large enough that I expected not to run into small-server problems.
I stayed because I have not run into any small-server problems and our admin is a very cool guy.

Very goofy and annoying for modders since if you wanted a useful name you have to first decompile Minecraft, then change all the names, and then when you compile change all references to said names in your code back to their actual obfuscated nonsense.
I expect this is what things like Forge were handling, right?

And where do you plan to live while you amass this money…?
Hey. Don’t feel bad about leaving. You’ve done what you could and then did what you needed to in order to keep yourself safe. If what you say is true you’ve done an order of magnitude more work towards a better world than the majority of people.
I think we need good people left in this country to have a chance to try and turn things around, but I’ll never be upset with someone who left for their own good. There’s enough of us that can’t leave, or won’t leave, that we’ll never become irrelevant here. The fight will go on until death do us part, for better or for worse.
You better believe though if the US comes for Greenland I’m going to do everything I can to help my new neighbors
Do it, and don’t feel bad about it. If the US comes for Greenland I’m on the side of Greenland. Same for Canada, same for Mexico, same for anyone else whose sovereign borders are being threatened. Know that no matter what happens you still have friends here on the inside.

Besides which, law enforcement is not legally justified in shooting you damn near no matter what you do. A cop is not a court of law. A cop is not a jury and judge. A cop is not an executioner. Their legal jurisdiction extends to getting you in front of a courtroom and nothing else.

“I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida … to go to court would have taken a long time,” Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence.
“Take the guns first, go through due process second,”

I, for one, specifically go out of my way to not purchase things that have been advertised to me, but I also only see about one ad per year on average, because ads are a known malware vector and not blocking ads is just bad security hygiene. Not having to constantly be force-fed capitalism slop is just a nice side benefit.
But yeah, my particular 'tism mostly manifests as spite in this case, and from what I’ve heard tell from other Lemmings I’m in pretty good company in that regard with this group. We just need to figure out how to export that spite to the common man.

It’s 2026 you never know what the fuck is about to happen out here

I got mine at 24.
My parents flat refused to allow me to get a driver’s license, I assume because it would have given me the freedom to leave their house under my own power. I didn’t end up getting one until after I went to and came back from college.
I learned from a driving school, since my parents seemed uninterested in teaching me.
The experience of trying to hold a job or get to and from class between the ages of 18-24 is one of the primary experiences driving me to the idea that American public transportation sucks absolute asshole and desperately needs improvement. It used to take me two and a half hours to get to work. My work was a 15 minute drive from my house, but since my wonderful father refused to drive me to and from work, I would have to take a bus all the way across town to the central station and then hop another bus to take me all the way back across town to damn near the same place I got picked up at.
Is the single red LED solid, or is it flashing Morse for “please kill me”?

Would you say the same about all Russians? That all Russians are the enemy and deserve death because their leader Putin is a warmonger?

To each their own, I guess, I thought WOTR was one of the best cRPGs I’ve ever played. I rank it above BG3 in terms of personal enjoyment.
Rogue Trader certainly didn’t recieve that high of a grade, but the bones are there, and it’s one of the better 40k adaptations I’ve come across. It was clear the writers read their lore first, and they pulled out a couple of twists that even I, a decade-plus 40k nerd, wasn’t expecting.

I am personally also cautiously optimistic for Owlcat’s upcoming Dark Heresy game. I enjoyed Rogue Trader, and Owlcat has a history of making one pretty good game and then making a second game which is a world class banger, as evidenced by Pathfinder: Kingmaker vs Wrath of the Righteous. If their pattern holds and they stick close to the source books like they like to do, it’s probably going to be pretty good.
Because he was an already known name that evoked memories of better times. He was Obama’s VP and people liked him in that position, that’s why he won, it’s very simple. Clinton wasn’t VP, wasn’t well liked, and was known to be an unreliable prospect. Harris was not known to the majority of people. Both Clinton and Harris had contentious campaign statements that worried and alienated a significant percentage of their potential voters. Harris, in addition, also was never voted for in a primary, she was simply assigned as Biden’s heir and we were supposed to just run with that and be okay with it. She really never had a chance no matter who she was. Clinton was consistently cringey and reeks of moneyed interests, she was never an attractive option to democratic voters, and would never stand a snowball’s chance in hell of converting any Republican voters like she seemingly wanted to because her husband was one of the favorite Republican whipping boys of all time. They all hate the Clintons, for poorly defined reasons.
