Thank you so much! I actually had a couple different attempts until I found something that worked well and fit the style of the rest.

It ended up less labor intensive than some previous attempts would’ve been, but still was a whole lotta work, so you might still want to try different approaches!

I basically made rough color sploches first, staying in darker shades. Then I used a basic round brush with the taper set to quicky reduce brush size with less pen pressure, that’s how I get that leaf shape with quick short brush strokes. Then I just layered them from back to front, getting lighter in color.

Sorry it’s a bit hard to describe in writing, I hope it makes any sense at all…

Yeah I pretty much agree with you. I love love love the setting and vibes, but it seems hard to really make much progress on anything, but easy to get punished in a way that gets frustrating.

Though, we haven’t played for long yet, so I want to wait a bit longer and think the mechanics through before a final judgement. And maybe there’s ways to work it out or learn to work with the kinks it has. But it’s good to know it’s not just me who feels the mechanics to be a bit wonky!

Thank you! After the woodpecker I made them fit certain sizes to frame them all together! Thought if I already put the work into it, might as well make them look good as decoration. That’s where the off-white paper really brings it together I think!

I haven’t heard of the similarly between NFLD and Ireland before, but now I definitely wanna visit there as well - just absolutely loved the scenery in Ireland <3 (though to be fair, my impression of it is a little skewed, I didn’t have a single bad weather or even foggy day during my whole trip there haha)

Ja das stimmt wohl leider… die überraschen mich auch nicht. Aber ich kannte damals an der Uni einige Leute mit (ich nenns mal) einer eher linken und offenen Einstellung, die auch sonst in ihrem Alltag stark auf Nachhaltigkeit etc. geachtet haben - aber bei Laborfleisch haben sie ihre Grenze gezogen.

Bin in dem Thema jetzt ehrlich gesagt nicht sonderlich bewandert und steh wirklich offen für Gegenargumente, aber grundsätzlich fand ich die Idee eigentlich schon immer super. Fleisch das exakt wie Fleisch schmeckt, aber ohne Massentierhaltung und Co. auskommt - ist ja von der Idee her eigentlich geil oder? Natürlich unter der Bedingung dass es am Ende auch nicht wesentlich mehr Ressourcen etc. kostet. Aber wenn die Forschung mal den Punkt erreicht hat das nachhaltig zu produzieren, warum nicht? Ich kann da diese vehemente Abneigung mancher Leute nicht ganz nachvollziehen.

Gerade ein Verbot find’ ich da kontraproduktiv. Mehr Forschung zu Kosten, Prozess und Auswirkungen ja, aber das einfach mal im Vorhinein zu verbieten…
