It’s still waiting on a repackaging effort

Looks like the latest hurdle is that Firefox is relying on some Google-specific variables being present, which fails on AOSP

Oh really? Where’s the keepass file stored? This would be very cool if so
They usually come with a tare (empty) weight stamped on them. Total weight minus the weight = gas weight
I think its downfall was being a closed beta, which made it useless for communicating with other people who weren’t already invited
How do I make use of this? I can’t see a way to install them on my Fennec from F Droid
They have also injected Javascript into pages (selling new modems) and add(ed) unique headers to HTTP traffic so websites could identify individual users despite their best attempts.
This must have been pre-HTTPS since you’d need to MitM the SSL certificate for that to work
Also self hosted Wireguard on a foreign VPS
I literally don’t even notice between the VPN being enabled or disabled
lol. Hide your private traffic by routing it all to Google
I’ve customised mine to resemble Infinity (the app I used for reddit)
Are you aware Infinity is available for Lemmy now?
You’re surprised that Google apps contain Google advertising trackers?
Yea I appreciate that. It’s a feature request, just hoping it gains some popularity
I’d wager the Lemmy community is more savvy about privacy than most
Yep, and that’s why my LineageOS install has none of these apps
That’s why I’m saying it could be an APK file we can download from Github/wherever
I’m afraid it’s a no deal from me.
I think it’s safe to say the Lemmy community is much more mindful of trackers in apps
Yep, losing a sale from me for this
I can live with it being closed source, but I want an app without trackers built in (even if they’re not used)
I’d like to pay for an app where I’m not the product
Is there a possibility of a paid app which doesn’t include the sharing of my data?
Yea but does that prevent Google from getting that data via AdMob?
Hm, they’ve pre-emptively blocked threads.net. But yea the list is shorter
America can’t legally spy on its own people
The UK can
And the UK is in an intelligence cooperation with America
