I do this as well. Works great for both serving me the most interesting content and limiting how much time I spend on Lemmy.

Pet peeve: had to check “Other” and write “None” several times but otherwise fun little survey. Results should be fun to look at.

Similar vibe here. I mourned the loss of the dad I thought I had. Not going to maintain a relationship with the person he is now.

lmao this is good

Appreciate the summary. You made it much easier to understand.

I’ve been playing so much Mindustry this Summer. I didn’t even realize it was open source when I bought it but that was a fun fact to find out.

That’s the thing about Arsenal

Just a general reminder to anyone to use a site like Charity Navigator to find good causes to donate to.
These comics are always fun to read because as an R user, I only ever hear about how fast python is.

Upvote for the ROSE Online b-roll. God I loved that game.
Edit: I commented too soon. Didn’t expect ROSE to actually be related to the topic at hand lol

Not claiming to be an expert, but I watched this video a while back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmKjVpVdHDQ
The impression I got is that PS1 emulation is actually pretty good, and N64 emulation is more like that Homer Simpson meme with all the clothespins on his back.

The end goal is probably a native PC version of the game.
Imagine if someone handed you a burnt cake and said “make this exact cake, but not burnt.”
If you can perfectly recreate the burnt cake, you’ve at least verified your ingredient list. The next step is to just bake it right.

most likely, some form of “fuck you, got mine”
Interested in seeing how well the armed guard equivalent of “the Uber Eats driver who eats your food instead of delivering it” works out for them.

I thought the movie would be about a talking kangaroo. Boy was I disappointed.
While I love Elgato hardware from a design/price standpoint, it’s a shame it doesn’t all work on Linux. I had my Wave XLR for a year or so, but replaced it with a Scarlett Solo so I could use it on Linux.
Yeah I went to Youtube and the whole movie is just available “for free with ads” so I kinda skimmed it lol
Yeah, when I tried basic Ubuntu about a year ago, it must not have liked something about my two monitors or Nvidia GPU.
The whole desktop was shitting itself, and at one point I could see my mouse on one monitor but the clicks were taking place on the other monitor. It’s a nightmare to debug things when you can’t accurately click any windows or buttons.
Endeavor and Pop both worked out of the box.
