Using a lot of ms services at work. If I leave 10 tabs open, I get 10 individual login popups in the morning. I like to assume there is some reason behind this I’m too dumb to understand, because it is very obviously not good UX and very annoying.

We can’t really produce enough heat through industry to affect the earth globally, if that’s what you meant. It’s insignificant in comparison to what the Sun provides.

I bit of a derailment here, but having done my annual LotR rewatch recently, some of the CGI is starting to stand out for me. Apparently a remaster would cost way too much, and trying to work with such old scenes would be neigh impossible today due to compatibility issues. But I’ve wondered if a similar tech can be applied, not to change the visuals, but to apply better lighting/shading to things like balrog, or gollum.
I want to be very clear I don’t wish for a Star Wars-type remake. LotR may be the best trilogy ever, and it seems less and less likely to ever be dethroned as such.

Presumptuous and incorrect. They have made a big dent already. Entire communities abandoned and dev teams disbanded. No-one is willing to share links publicly anymore. Thus my point - hosting their pirated content on any site that wishes to operate or be accessed from US, EU or the UK would be committing a suicide by defending, or even not taking action on their dmca requests.
Have you seen what happens to ANY website hosting pirated Nintendo content? How many of them are still online?

Backup generators are the only reasonable alternative at this scale if the grid goes down. Battery banks last minutes, and are only good to allow for diesel to kick in.

Such glasses are not cheap, but provide virtually unlimited screen space wherever you are.
