long past time. what’s taking people so long

Basically goodreads or bookwyrm without the social features, and portable like calibre. Importing from goodreads is a must, and a DNF shelf that doesn’t count books on it toward books read that year. Space for lengthy reviews, star ratings, book metadata and summary. Maybe a links or notes section for relevant extras like author socials or articles.

A better jelu that actually works for me. It won’t import my Goodreads file AND it’s ugly af. If I had the skills I’d fork it myself, but alas.

Instead of a “what if” we need a “how” and “when”

nah it would have to be many arguments for me to notice a pattern and even then it would just be worth investigating deeper
