This would be me if only there was some way to easily determine where I have used my @gmail address in the past 20 years. I have already set up another address that I own myself and have moved a bunch of stuff over, but I don’t want to lose access to the rest of my accounts tied to my Gmail address.

Although I suppose I could go through my Keepass and list all logins that use my gmail, then chip away at that…

Fully agree. I just don’t trust China any much more than the US to respect privacy and consumer choice. Color me prejudiced if you want, but I’ve dealt with enough Chinese suppliers to have a decent idea of how they operate.

I’ll take any silver lining, but I’m not sure if whatever replaced it will be any better given how the Chinese have acted in markets they’ve achieved majority stake in.

Sad to see the EV targets get softened like that, but with Chinese vehicles entering the market and the price disparity between combustion vehicles and EVs narrowing this is exactly the kind of thing that will help nudge the market along to organically grow EV adoption to similar percentages as previously mandated.
