The Flintstones fascinated me when I was a kid because everything had already been invented but it was just made out of rocks and wood instead of metal and plastic. So for example they had a stone dishwasher appliance powered by a bird or something.

9·3 months agoNo that’s not the same thing. It’s the difference between looking up how to do something and having it done for you.
There have been multiple articles recently that show AI weakens skills.
Btw there’s no need to add strawman arguments with scenarios I didn’t mention.

As far as I can tell, AI almost always makes a call to a remote server. So why do you need a powerful PC for that? You could do that on a 20 year old computer easily.
I tried AI on my MacBook to ask it how to fix my config. It just did an internet search and didn’t even check the setting on my computer.
