2 years agoThe worst book I’ve ever read has to be 1984. The book is excellent, but did not do good things for me so it goes down as the worst

Constant appeasement has been the cause of so much more conflict as a whole. No sane country wants conflict but when it arises, it needs to be crushed at its source. It cannot stand and each nation should be afraid to commit such atrocities in fear of the response. Tying conditions to aid given to the Ukrainian war effort is ludicrous. France should be very proud of their commitment to fight for what is very clearly right and other nations should follow in their footsteps. I am not advocating that Ukraine starts blasting missiles at civilians centres in Russia but they should be free to strike infrastructure that has clear ties to the invasion. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes

It must be so difficult to recognise the difference between agenda driven propaganda and genuine reporting, especially if the infrastructure for free press isn’t there. It’s really sad when you think about it

Agreed. It’s just such a bummer. All of the big sensor phones operate it like a gimmick and you get a camera with a tacked on phone. What would be beneficial is a good phone with a big sensor. I think the images would slowly change the minds of general consumers
At some point, I hope manufacturers start giving us bigger sensors, rather than insisting on raising the MP of the sensor. I love the modern era where most smartphones are offering great point and shoot photos, but the bigger sensors are really the best way to innovate in that area
Unfortunately, when trying to expand your regime sometimes other nations take issue (as they should)
Direct support should have been immediate and global but each nation is too afraid of not being backed by all the others that they won’t take the risk.
We, as a species, should be stomping on governments that attempt to take what rightly belongs to another.
