I can’t speak for all Canadians, but I can speak for myself. I WILL spend more if I know the product is from Canada.

We need new labels: Who is profiting from this product???
Agreed. Now, is the flour I’m buying that says “Product of Canada” actually a product of Canada?? I’m finding that “Product of Canada” doesn’t actually mean Canada is getting the profits…
Agreed. But when a package says: Product of Canada, and then I find out the profits are actually going to the USA?? WTF?
Thank you to all for the education. So, “Product of Canada”, might be owned by Americans? How can Canadians tell the difference??
Ok then. Just did some research. WTF?? So, Product of Canada does NOT mean what we think. I think we need new guidelines: Product of Canada needs to mean: Canadian Company. And, thank you to all for the education! Most appreciated!
Yes! Yikes, I stand corrected. All but Pearl Milling said Product of USA. Thank you for the correction!
This picture was taken in “No Frills” today. The only box that said Product of Canada was Pearl Milling. All the other brands said Product of USA.
I was in “No Frills” today. All but Pearl Milling said Product of Canada. One of them said “Packaged in Canada”, but still said, “Product of USA”.

1·1 month agoWikipedia doesn’t have a lot of info. Chatgpt rundown: A single large AI data center can use millions of litres of water per day for cooling during hot weather. Some facilities use little or no water if they rely primarily on air cooling instead. Training a large AI model may indirectly consume millions of litres of water over the course of training. This includes water used directly for cooling servers and indirectly at power plants that generate the electricity used. There’s more, but also: Electricity generation: In many regions, power plants also use water for cooling, so electricity consumption can add to water use indirectly. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY TRUMP WANTS CANADA: No 4 of most water in the world. AND WHY TRUMP BACKED JAIR BOLSONARO, THE FASCIST PRESIDENT OF BRAZIL: No 1 most water in the world. Also, Jair Bolsonaro, the former president of Brazil, was sentenced to 27 years in prison for his involvement in a coup attempt that sought to undermine Brazil’s democratic institutions. VIVA Brazil!!!
