What you’ve described is not what this post is about.

A discussion on encryption would be on the topic of digital privacy. Tone policing an employee of a company none of us even work for is not.

This topic isn’t about privacy it’s about workplace culture

Lol at “He’s with Ben Sisko now”. Also congrats on your first Tea. Earl Grey is a bit of an advanced power user sort of tea but it won’t kill you you’ll get the hang of it.

This is my white whale. There is a guy making LineageOS versions of Android TV that seem to work well for some people but in my experience are buggy and I couldn’t get CEC working no matter what I tried.

Libreelec (kodi) works fantastic and CEC is flawless with every device I tested, but Kodi these days is really only good for local media (not Plex, Jellyfin, Youtube or streaming services) and real-debrid.

KDE Bigscreen is my last hope, but it’s probably going to be a while before it’s ready, not even including the inevitable wait for TV-interface versions of streaming apps that can run on ARM (if you’re using a raspi).

Wow, bad week for Trekkies. I didn’t realize he was sick.

The only thing I’m surprised by is that reddit didn’t boost that to the front page for engagement.

My mama begged me to get into cartooning but I thought corporate law was the path to financial independence how could I be so foolish

I’ve been subscribed to the physical copy for years and consider it a bargain. Even when a story is from a new writer and a little rough around the edges, it is always obvious why it got selected. Highly recommended if you love sci-fi short stories that make you go “hmm”

I always thought it was interesting how the one thing MAGA hasn’t been frothing at the mouth to reverse is gay marriage, it’s really crazy how fast the opinion changed once it became legal nationwide and the sky didn’t fall.

Ohh yes both good suggestions thanks

Yeah that’s a very good point, I have long hated how Reddit has been slowly erasing each subreddits individual identity/community and just turning the app into another algorithmic content feed.

Right? There’s a line in Generations where Kirk tells him “you were younger” than a new ensign.
