They will proceed, that’s the whole idea: proceed until they are stopped.
They are an ancient technology, it was needed before we had phones connected to internet, but now they are a relic. And have been for at least a decade.
They are good at giving us fun by making americans fight each other about the color of their bubbles.
And no, RCS is not the solution.
It alone will generate 14% of what the entire nation needs for at least 60 years and probably much more time.
How many times you have to replace the (very green?) batteries needed to store power for an entire nation in 60 years? And the solar plants and others?They started it, they completed it and now suddenly 14% of their energy is truly carbon free. For probably a century.
And once you build one, building another one won’t take so much time.
Cool, but no preorder, I prefer waiting for reviews once it is out.
In what universe filling the world of solar panels and huge huge huge batteries is cheaper or quicker or less polluting?
To me it seems when nuclear power price is considered it is always the highest that can be found while for renewables weirdly it does not consider a lot of factors.

So basically saving the planet is mega super important, but somehow 17 billions is suddenly too much?
It has been fifty years that “oh no they take so long to build, better never start” that by today we would have completely decarbonized energy generation if we started actually building them.

With an app it is just me, the app and whatever internet connection I have.
With SMS&co instead I have to deal with a system outside that, managed by the phone company and whatever.
Also apps are constantly updated, RCS standard will just become SMS2.Even iPhone users use an app in USA, it is only USA android users that for some random reasons are still stuck to SMS.
Here I just open telegram or whatsapp and message with anyone, no matter the phone. Or discord, or Matrix…
