The only acceptable telling of this story

I’m tired of seeing the telling of “the scorpion and the frog” fable ham fisted into so many stories. I don’t think I ever heard that one growing up, yet I’ve heard it a dozen times in shows.

Just tried it out! Happy with the results, but I agree some UI tweaking could go a long way. Where to type your search, and the results are too “clean” to the point where it’s a bit confusing.
Great work!

Just finish Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, and I’m about a third of the way through James by Percival Everett.
Both are so good!

Definitely recommend Blindsight!

Mad Eden by Morgan Thomas, and I started the his dark materials books to read with my nephews.
Mad Eden is a difficult read. I don’t really like the main characters. The book is good still. I wouldn’t tell others not to read it.
His dark materials is great. Pullman does an awesome job of showing how confusing it is for young people to understand the complexities of navigating and growing into the adult world. Very anti religion too, which was part of why I got it for them.

Woodworking by Emily St James is an amazing book. It’s fiction about a trans woman in her 30s finally coming out, and a trans teenager who has already been out for a while.

This isn’t book burning. This is more like we’re refusing to print and distribute more copies of their books for them.

After reading the comments here I have been convinced we should create a list of these artists, and none of their content is welcome in this community.
Main points being:
Nazis, racists, transphobes, homophobes are not welcome here under any context!
They sourced the creator this time. Isn’t that what we wanted? Or is there more I don’t know?

These are basically my feelings as well :)
Definitely going to be playing it for a while!

Not patient this week. Playing Crimson Desert.
I’m really liking it. It’s giving me the same kind of joy Skyrim did when it first came out.

Windows on this computer unfortunately. I’m not sure how well it works on Linux. I’m worried about that too, that’s why this computer still has Windows

Elden Ring seamless co-op with my husband. Highly recommend this mod
Anna’s Archive has basically everything, though it may take a few weeks for new releases to appear there. In that case, a private tracker like iptorrents is going to be where it’s at.
Download Calibre on your computer. Once you have the book add it into Calibre.
Connect the Kobo to the computer. Once it connects, drag and drop the files over from the Calibre interface.
That’s it!
The other option is using Calibre web instead, but that does take a little configuring. I’d consider my method above a good way “to add to her selection without making it more difficult.”
