I think that response was more insightful than he realised. Every Extremist planning something should take into account that the reaction might be much more than anticipated. But that also goes for the people doing the reaction. Israel likewise can’t control what people’s reaction to their actions will be.

I think a significant number of states will now want to develop their own nuclear weapons. The US has been teaching people for the last 20 years that there is a significant difference in how they will treat countries that have the bomb like North Korea and those that haven’t, like Irak, Iran, Afganistan, Denmark and other NATO countries.

NATO countries I believe will mostly ralley around the UK and France. But even among them, in the medium run, I believe there might be some wanting their own. Turkey has just recently announced a missile that basically only makes sense as a nuklear weapon.

The rules based international relations was something making countries believe they don’t need nuclear weapons of their own. This premise doesn’t hold in the same way anymore. We’ll probably end up with 30-40 countries with nuclear weapons.

That’s fine, as long as the corporation does so without the aid of any other entity.

Viele Superreiche leisten auch absolut keinen Beitrag. Die Koch-Brüder drüben aus Amiland sind so ein Beispiel. Haben nichts wesentliches gegründet, nichts erfunden. Waren nur gut darin, Werte an sich zu ziehen. Und dann eben obendrein noch die eigene Gesellschaft geschädigt durch Finanzierung extrem rechter Politik. Hierzulande weiß ich nicht ob die BMW-Besitzer in dieser Generation irgendetwas produktives geleistet haben.

Die Mitbewerber scheinen mir teilweise eher auch zum Problem dazuzugehören. War bisher auch recht bequem für sie. Jeder hat so ziemlich das selbe gemacht und sie waren teilweise einfach daran gewöhnt, dass sie auch so an Aufträge drankamen.

Ich verstehe Dich. Ich hatte Musk auch als Beispiel aufgenommen, weil ich schon der Meinung bin, dass er erstaunliche Werte (mit)erschaffen hat und dadurch vermutlich gerechtfertigt superreich ist.

Was Du beschreibst ist natürlich, dass Musk mit seinem Reichtum dann widerum für die Gesellschaft schädliches angestellt hat. Ich bin ganz bei Dir, dass auch von Superreichen erwartet werden kann und muss, nicht asozial zu sein. Ich glaube das letztere ist eher letztlich unser Problem. Wir lassen den Superreichen einfach zuviel asoziales Verhalten durchgehen. Naja, und eben auch diejenigen, die zwar reich sind, aber nichts erschaffen sondern nur Werte extrahieren.

Überreiche an und für sich sind nichteinmal ein Problem. Unter der Voraussetzung, sie leisten entsprechende Gegenwerte. Jemand wie Musk, der mal eben ein bahnbrechendes Weltraumunternehmen gründet und leitet, die mal eben die Raketentechnik auf den Kopf stellen und dann noch den Internetzugang für unterversorgte Gegenden neu denken haben gewaltigen Reichtum auch erstmal verdient. Leute, die mit viel Geld ihre Schaffenskraft darauf verwenden zu sehen, wo sie sich aus der Solidargemeinschaft rausziehen können, wo sie als reine Mittelsmänner die Hand in Geldströme halten können, ohne Gegenwerte zu leisten, die sind das Problem. Cum-Ex-Betrüger, professionelle Steuerhinterzieher, Leute, die die politische Landschaft ausschließlich zum eigenen Wohle verändern… Man hat sich nicht gegen Könige erhoben, weil sie Könige waren. Man hat sich dann gegen Könige erhoben, wenn sie ihren Job nicht richtig gemacht haben und wenn sie die Gesellschaft zu sehr ausgeblutet haben.

Das Problem ist, dass das zu oft der Fall ist. Wenn jemand reich wird, aber mehr als ausreichenden Gegenwert bereitstellt, ist ja alles in Ordnung. Wie viele Abteilungsleiter und höher sehen den Wert ihres Beitrags im Vordergrund und wie viele wollen selber möglichst viel haben und möglichst wenig selbst geben? Gäbe es nur erstere, hätten wir diese Diskussion gar nicht.

Nah, the reason is the Byzantine law enforcement structure in the US. You can’t just say “the police” because they have so many officers running around enforcing parts of the law that are not police. FBI, DEA, ATF CBP, ICE and god knows what else are state agents, are involved in law enforcement and are all arguably not police.
