I recommend ungoogled chromium for when you need a chrome browser. There is 0 telemetry and it flies.

Being able to use Ublock Origin on my Android was a game changer. I can’t see using any other browser on mobile.

The best options for me is either Librewolf or ungoogled chromium when it comes to privacy.

I love those benefits. I would be extremely upset if I had to go back to the office. I’m more comfortable at home and I’m able to help my wife care for my son who is special needs. I save on gas and wear and tear on my car. The fact that I can listen to my music while just wearing shorts and a t-shirt was a game changer. IMO people in general suck and it’s nice not to have to interact with them face to face on a daily basis. Some of my coworkers say they miss being in the office. I think they’re nuts.

What additions does Librewolf have over stock Firefox? I haven’t been using FF for a week now with Ublock Origin and it has been great.

Firefox on Android using Ublock Origin is as good as it can get.

I wish I was able to log in with newpipe. Other than that it’s a great app.

In the US there is a federal program that does the same.

I believe the app should state that the customer has a guide dog. That way people with allergies or phobias don’t have to accept the trip. I like dogs but my wife is deathly afraid of them. I blame her mother for instilling that fear but that’s a story for another time.

After I get the warning I can tap the hamburger menu and it shows my account name up top but when I try to upvote a post it states I need to log in.

Wouldn’t the only reason for them to even want to be a part of this would be to monitize? If they can’t post advertisements what would they do here?

BBS were so much fun back then. We had a local one in South Florida where we would all get on and we would have meet ups on weekends so we could talk in person and hang out. I used to log on with a 2400 baud modem which I upgraded to a 14k myself. It felt so fast at the time. I also would get on the telnet talkers and Irc to meet folks. I was a shy awkward teenager back then so meeting people on those services was great.

Back when AOL started getting popular my friends and I would hoard those installation disks so we could make new accounts when we needed to. Back then they would actually charge per hour to be online. We would use credit card generator programs to get online for free until they caught us and we had to make new accounts. Once AOL went unlimited it was a game changer. The bad part was it was hard getting on due to everyone jumping on.
