Ah you meant personal point of view. I understood that you meant from general point of view. My bad

Technology@beehaw.org•Why aren't Linux based mobile OSes more popular?
1·1 month agoThat is definitely choice. In my mind SailfishOS is open enough as most of it is open. But of course it is good to have options. For me carrying two phones would be no-go, which leads me to be mostly interested as polished options that can meet my app needs --> don’t know other Linux option (currently) in this case than SFOS

2·1 month agoSailfishos has this their own Android App Support. That integrates Android apps to native UI quite beautifully what I have seen

2·1 month agoI would recommend to check SailfishOS. Quite a few officials supported devices and even more community ports

2·1 month agoCheck SailfishOS, there you can run even quite many banking apps: https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/banking-apps-on-sailfish-os/18438/183
People looking for another European alternative, check SailfishOS! Jolla supports their devices long time and SailfishOS is truly alternative OS made in Europe
I would say that completely FOSS Linux OS won’t ever be as smooth experience as business solution. Jolla has developed SailfishOS which is mostly open decade now and it is quite stable. Also has android emulator where you can use most android apps, but not all. In my opinion we should support that as much as possible to have true alternative. Also EU should start supporting ita development
Could you tell me that would change things? As most of it is already open source, how could it suddenly make it even better alternative with everything open sourced?

82·2 months agoI would never recommend bambu products or to install any bambu software. One of our company employees installed bambu studio (for personal needs) and it started immediately to send data to 7 ip addresses which all were linked to malware. Buy Prusa if you want to own your device actually.

I hope native support for SailfishOS!
I at least hope they would put effort to non Android OS. Why put effort to Android OS if most people would like get rid of USA dependency? I would love them to offer support for SailfishOS, which can still run Android apps in container and most of them work, including a lot of banking apps

I would give vote for Prusa Core one. Not the cheapest but great support and very reliable work horse. Currently only option is MMU3 but they have announced that they are working new solution

1·5 months agoSailfishOS has android app support which allows many bank apps to work. You can check if that applies to your bank from: https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/banking-apps-on-sailfish-os/18438/177
One thing I have been wondering is why to use Whisperfish if the android app support works great with signal android app? Is it faster or more reliable?

But why tho? Isn’t reading Bible and understanding what it says big part of it?
