I’ve literally been hosting and joining game nights that were deliberately advertised with the board game as the focus and discouraged smalltalk style socialization and limited phone use.

There are 8 billion people in the world (7.997 billion who are not even remotely close to where I live, so that number is moot anyway), and I might just have been unlucky. But the point still stands.

And then people take ages with their turns and are distracted by their smartphones or smalltalk instead of actually playing. That’s even worse.

I know and never said that wasn’t the case. I just wanted to address that you said that “all other parties are worse than the AfD for lower and middle class people”, which is just not true. That’s one of their lies.

No the other parties are not worse for middle and lower class citizens. AfD is a populist party, promising everything but delivering nothing.

Expert analyses of their manifesto have concluded that the only people to benefit would be rich people. The actual policies of the AfD suck for lower and middle class citizens.

Don’t fall for their lies.

Demisexual people don’t feel sexual attraction based on looks or appearance. Only when an emotional bond has been formed (usually based on personality), do they feel sexual attraction to another person.

There are two sides to this. There’s yours, and then there is self-care and self-protection. Being constantly bombarded with this shit, these issues, problems and the world going down hill while you as an individual can’t even begin to influence or have any kind of impact on them can and will wreck your mental health.

In the end it needs balance. Don’t stick your head in the sand, but also don’t drown in the never ending despair that is the flood of bad news in modern media.

Believe what you want, I don’t really care. The whole connection bugged out and the car’s infotainment system including android auto became unresponsive. There was no call, it wasn’t shuffle and it was definitely his voice, not the music playing. Especially since there was only the whispered singing. No other instruments at all.

I’m not so sure. When my partner and I were on a road trip we had android auto connected and were singing along to songs we listened to via Spotify. At some point though, when I tried to fiddle with some settings the connection between the car and the smartphone bugged out and while trying to fix it we suddenly heard his voice being played back on the speakers “whispering” some lyrics he had sung 30 to 60 minutes earlier.

I put whispered in quotes because he certainly didn’t whisper those lyrics and I recalled the moment he sang them quite clearly. Beside his singing and the music playing there were no other sounds at that time.

My best guess is that he was actually recorded while singing and something was stripping all the background noises and music to make his speech more clear for speech to text analysis. It was creepy as fuck.

We both work in IT and I truly have no other idea what this could have been given the circumstances. He said there is actually a company that provides a framework that listens to, records and analyses whatever is spoken near smartphone microphones and all the big tech players like Google are using it. I don’t remember the name though. Would have to ask him.
