What would actually be encouraging to see is not just ABC or Disney pushing back individually, but all of the major networks standing together on principle.
If corporations are going to constantly talk about defending free speech, a free press, and independence from political pressure, then this is the exact moment where that should matter. Because if every network collectively refused to bend to intimidation tactics, no president, Trump or anyone else, could effectively bully media companies into shaping coverage around what they personally want the public to see.
When they suspended Kimmel, I sent them a ferocious email, and one of the things I said was that the FCC license that they are so concerned about also carries with it the responsibility to serve the American people and the First Amendment with integrity. Defending our Freedom of Speech is literally the most important responsibility they have, and I expected them to hold the line to the bitter end.

It seems like they agree. So far.
