Matt Firor announced his split from ZeniMax Online Studios the same day Microsoft laid off roughly 9,000 employees and cancelled multiple game projects.
I REALLY wanted to see what they were working on. It would be interesting just to talk to him and his team. ESO was built on the Hero engine and I think SWTOR is the only other MMO to use it. I’ve always wondered how much that inspired them to work on their own engine for Blackbird.
Oh and I love that they independent team calls themselves Sackbird Studios.
