Biking in Dallas can sometimes feel like the Wild West — but advocates and city leaders say work’s being done to improve bike infrastructure and make traveling safer for those on two wheels.
Ehhhh maybe in the city center where it’s really expensive to live and will only benefit those there and not actually build any infrastructure where people actually live. Live in Dallas for a couple years and it was not friendly in any sorts so bike infrastructure would come with a lot of astrixes. Regardless we really do hope the bike lanes do get built and it’s further expanded to neighborhoods that really need them. Maybe even expand and better public transit in the meantime as well :>
I’ve only been to Dallas once and I was really just passing through but I remember downtown being really “dead”, in the sense that, at least after office hours, it was almost eerily quiet.
This was 15 years ago, though, and it might have been just the specific area I was in.

Last lived there in 2019, can confirm it was still eerie quiet and car centric as always 5 years ago aswell
