How about making it owned by the workers or the customers? Why should people have to line corporate pockets to have access to drinking water?

Oh great. I’m sure they will fix everything and won’t just spunk away all our money to shareholders and management while the water and sewage system collapses. Foreign owners are much more likely to look out for UK interests than a nationalised company. Is it possible to actually die of sarcasm?

Only interested if the gov takes on all the debt.

So likely just going to sell off more assets and gain any wealth the can before letting it fail again.

Selling off to private investors is just moving the issue to another government while making tax payers pay for past bad behaviours.

Only interested if the gov takes on all the debt.

      And forgive the outstanding fines.

So we’re paying a private company to buy our water utility, so that they can ‘have another go’ and ‘promise to do better than the last lot’.

      Great…

I felt sure that Stalin Starmer was going to nationalise water and other stuff. Or have we had an odd number of u-turns in the year he’s been fucking it up for our greater good?

Giving ownership of your basic needs to a foreign party. What Could Possibly Go Wrong? It’s not like foreign ownership of our electricity suppliers could be used to subsidise their domestic customers. Oh … wait …
