I mean, the galaxies in 40k and Star wars are kind of comparable. You got your human dominated sphere that encompasses almost all of the known parts of the galaxy, you got your magic users both of supposed order/light side and chaos/dark side and the lines get blurry sometimes, you got your single purpose worlds (don’t tell me Coruscant isn’t comparable to Holy Terra or that ecumenopolis (planets that are basically one large city) aren’t comparable to hive worlds, you even got agrarian worlds and prison worlds in Star Wars), you even got your extragalactic threat who’s technology is completely biological (Tyranids, Yuuzhan Vong).
