Is this so Israel can label their journalists as enemy combatants?
So when you don’t wear a uniform or otherwise show yourself to be part of an army…you raid your enemies land, etc. By the Geneva convention you are an unlawful combatant. Unlawful combatants, per the Geneva convention and international law, are like pirates. You can do anything you want to them.
The journalists Israel kills are usually wearing UN Press uniforms.
There is no such thing.
There is no such thing as UN Press, but the UN defines the uniform that Press wear in combat zones.
