I keep seeing posts mentioning this phenomenon more and more often.
For instance:

Like, why? Why now? Why even? I really wish I had a time machine where I could go to the future and ask them what the general reasons were for this social development. But I feel like I’m looking for the specific thorn on a cactus that popped my balloon.
I don’t think it was unjust. It was uncivil, you’re a four day old account and this is a four month old thread.
How it was uncivil, can you explain? & person can comment in old post which he find interesting.
It’s the combination of all those factors I think. The part that was uncivil was, as you pointed out, using the word pussy as a derogative term.
