    if the page doesn’t show anything that indicates that the verification isn’t valid anymore.

    this can be the result of trying to verify after 7 days have passed (currently hardcoded limit in lemmy) or when the email has already been verified.

      Okay, that’s bad UX. There should be an error message telling a user what happened and why the verification failed. “Verification link expired.” “This email address is already in use.” Etc.

      ETA: I’m aware that you can’t really do anything about that directly, but this is still an issue that should be raised with the developers.

    i went to that reddit link :

    a reddit user is trying to make an account on Lemmy(dot)world :

    I can’t verify my email because the page doesn’t give me a button to do so. The link from my email just takes me to a blank page

    linux.community and lemmy.world

    i click the link in my email and it takes me to a page that says ‘verify email’, but there’s no box to tick or place to write my email.
