That must have a lot to do with it and was the only thing I was thinking could blow that price out. Going off a quick google, the median is $8500ish.
He stiffs everybody all the time. If it was $600 he still would’ve stiffed them.

I’ll start by saying Trump is a horrible piece of shit and I wish him nothing but harm… but how $60k?
The funeral industry (in a nutshell) is hella expensive
Cost of the plot, scheduling, cost of a casket, prepping the deceased, if there’s anything special there’s that cost as well, etc
There’s a reason I tell my family that when I die, cremate me and put my remains in a coffee can. If you wanna schedule some kind of event do it completely removed from the funeral parlor.
To add to this, funerals for veterans/active duty can be a bit more involved. I’ll admit I don’t know who pays for the military ceremony, but someone does.
