The people who can verify their identity will be less willing to share their opinion on certain topics once they know they aren’t anonymous. I’m certain this is one of the goals. The reactions to political news, world events, law proposals and atrocities will be far more muted and it will be easier to control the population.
The problem is that Reddit NSFW is an extremely broad category that doesn’t only include porn. So many posts and memes are tagged with it. Realizing that I’m now seeing a censored, inauthentic version of Reddit made me delete the app.
Reminds me of the idea that speedster superheroes experience time differently so for them, interacting with regular people is a slow excrutiating torture.

I hate when people validate the core idea of needing to protect children through age verification. Timmy lying about being over 18 to look at some boobs is not a problem that needs to be resolved.
