FFT is hands-down my favorite Final Fantasy game. I’m busy with other stuff at the moment, but I definitely plan on getting this one eventually.

I now understand why so many people are complaining about Silksong being too hard.
I was in high school on 9/11/2001. I remember another teacher ran into my classroom and told my teacher to turn the news on just as first period was ending. The tv was already on in my 2nd period class. I watched both towers fall on live tv. It was… an experience, that’s for sure.
Side note, my physics teacher was in the Navy Reserves and was called into active duty. My physics class was “taught” with varying degrees of success by substitutes for the rest of the semester. That was an interesting class, and for the wrong reasons.
I started replaying this one recently, as well. And yes, killing Nazis never gets old.
Work on your skills, so you can land a better position/job where you aren’t micromanaged to that degree.
As long as you and your partner are in agreement with what you both want, there’s no issue.
I can’t wait to read the New Aeao Version of the Holy Bible.
It was definitely one of the funnier hacking incidents I’ve seen in a game.
This right here. I met a lot of cool people after joining a couple groups related to my hobby.
Video is way off base. The game’s map is based off maps from the TTRPG, so they were going for accuracy to the source material. Also, having a smaller, denser map doesn’t necessarily equate to more story/gameplay. You still need writers and programmers to do their thing, even if the artists don’t need to make as many assets.
Also, fast travel was in the game since launch. Sure, you had to unlock each fast travel point, but that’s pretty standard in open world games.
Personally, I liked Night city as it was. It’s probably one of my favorite game worlds to exist in. More often than not, I found myself hopping on my bike and riding to my next destination while listening to the radio, rather than fast traveling. Screw cars though, lane splitting is much faster.
A lot of executives in publicly traded companies only have a tenure of a few years, so they’re focused on pumping the stock for next quarter to maximize their bonus. They probably won’t be around if/when the whole thing comes crashing down; that’s the next guy’s problem.
Zesty bread & butter. It’s basically bread & butter that’s a little spicy. If I can’t find any, I sometimes make my own with a standard jar of bread & butter and add a couple spoonfuls of red pepper flake to the jar and let it sit for a couple days.
The short answer is I don’t.
I get my work done, my boss is happy with my performance, and I get some extra training done on the side. With the rest of the time, I get simple chores done around the house, or simply screw around. It’s never directly stated, but my boss is well aware that since our team is full time WFH, there will be non-work activities on work time. Even when I was at the office, I wouldn’t be focused on work the entire time.
Usually it’s not so bad, but they’re making those cuts really close to the words spoken. It’s also more jarring because you can see the cuts on the screen.
One streamer dropped over $100k on Diablo Immortal when it released. His gear was leveled so high, he couldn’t match against anyone else in pvp.

Yes, most likely. OP didn’t give details, but maybe that’s the only position in their area they are qualified for that offers a salary that meets their living expenses. There’s also the possibility that the company is overall good to work for and it was just shitty manager/team they were stuck with before. I agree that taking a pay cut can oftentimes be better overall if the new job is easier to handle, but we all have bills to pay, and sometimes the lower salary just won’t cut it.
Contacting your previous manager would likely be problematic, especially if you didn’t leave on good terms. I would contact the new hiring manager and explain the situation, and that you would prefer minimal contact with your previous manager, if possible. Were any of the previous issues documented? That could be helpful now. Also if you could, contact any previous colleagues you had a good rapport with and ask them to give a recommendation for you.
Why wait until after? With infinite money, you could buy controlling interest in every game publisher, fire and replace the execs, and have the studios focus their efforts on making quality games, rather than monetization.
Of course, you could also start your own studio(s) and make whatever the hell you wanted.
One of the stock ones. I had my phones on vibrate only for years, but when I started WFH full time with the pandemic, I turned the ringer back on so I could hear it if I was in another part of the house. I don’t care enough to download something else for the ringtone.
I did download a new tone for my alarm, though:
Lemmy is a much smaller community, so fewer people willing to do the detective work.
