14·2 days agoOK, Marvin.
“Simple. I got very bored and depressed, so I went and plugged myself in to its external computer feed. I talked to the computer at great length and explained my view of the Universe to it," said Marvin.
“And what happened?” pressed Ford.
“It committed suicide,” said Marvin and stalked off back to the Heart of Gold.”

Programming@programming.dev•CSS link not working. Help and Advice needed. (Solved)
3·5 days agoPaths don’t have to start with either of those. Just “styles/mystuff.css” is perfectly valid.
If you start with / the server looks at whatever IT thinks the root folder is, which may not even be visible to your app or site. That’s not what you want most of the time.
Even at the command prompt you can do “cd styles” without any / or … at all. Try it. If you really want you can probably use “./styles”, where the single dot means the current directory. But you really shouldn’t need it.

Linux@lemmy.ml•EXT4 Deprecates Its Journaled "data=journal" Mode
112·5 days agodata=journal is just one mode of journaling. Not the entire feature.
Journaling all of the data is very expensive and slow and no one was using it.
Metadata journaling as always the main feature and is still present.
