Yeah its not as bad as reddit (yet). Problem is any authoritarian state can easily use an LLM to create profiles, comment on unrelated posts, then spew the most vitriolic propaganda and downvote any voices of reason.

1·3 days agoI mean it makes sense spending $30-40k on a cyber company to decrypt it, still way cheaper than the ransom. Also we shouldnt give money to criminals. Probably just funds the war on Ukraine

2·3 days agoIf youre renting in regional areas, they probably have no interest in making it energy efficient as they probably think that’s “woke”. Speak to your agent about insulation at the very least.
Sounds like youre in a poorly insulated dwelling. By comparison, I’m in a 14 year old apartment in Melbourne and hardly needed the heater this winter. Its got a heat pump air con / heater so heating / cooling not expensive
I empathise with that, I really do. Our govt (Oz) have introduced an office of AI and relatively strict restrictions on data centres.
