It would be a (small) step in the right direction if it had any chance of becoming law. It’s a non-starter in the House, and Trump certainly wouldn’t sign it either.

When? What do you like to do? And what travel options do you have?
IIRC from past posts you’re in NYC. If you have a car, drive north and embrace winter. Go skiing or tubing at a mountain resort. Look for live music and food events in the Berkshires or up in Burlington, VT. Grab some friends and rent a cabin in the woods for a weekend of games and drinking. Find someone who operates sled dog tours and go for a ride.
In the spring/summer you can go whale watching out of Connecticut or Rhode Island.
If you have the funds to fly, find a national park that’s open and accessible in winter. You’ll avoid the crowds and get a very different experience than most people. Or visit the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico for a beach vacation, and make sure you hire someone with a boat to take you around for a day trip (fishing or snorkeling is optional if you’re into that).

That resolution was kneecapped by the Authorization for Use of Military Force after 9/11. Multiple presidents have treated it as a blank check to execute military actions around the world without congressional approval. Just call the targets “terrorists” (or “narco terrorists” now) and do anything without repercussions.

It’s about rich kids playing tennis. I will not be taking questions. Now go to bed, for your own good.
Be careful. You might have to marry her to get your hoodie back.

I don’t know if there’s anything unique about aging. The shittiest part of aging IMO is the random life-changing medical events you cannot foresee or prevent. It could be as simple as stumbling on uneven ground and tearing your ACL, or as extreme as being diagnosed with some unusual cancer.
I’ve got my life to live, and all my love to give

!superbowl@lemmy.world is indeed superb!

Woosh
So this is the view from Mailbox Peak I’ve always heard about.
“Can’t we get Mongolian BBQ?”
“We have Mongolian BBQ at home.”
“It puts the lotion on it’s skin…”
Slonkin fat doinks?
I believe that’s the original depiction of Thing.

Galileo!
Nice shot.
Before this month, I had no idea there were so many Christmas-themed Addams Family comics!
It all depends on the landing. If he’s coming down onto a sloped ramp then it’s fine. But if it’s a hard landing to flat then both bike and rider are at risk of having a bad day.
Then who?
