OK, I didn’t read the full text but I saw self-hostable alternative to Google Timeline and Hona Assistant and I’m sold!

Google timeline once genuenly helped me get my Swedish citizenship, but it also freaked me out how much data Google had about me.

I had to write down when I left the country and when I came back for the last 5 years or so, and without timeline it would not been possible because during that time I traveled abroad at least twice a Mont for a year.

Anyway it sounds very cool especially because I’m already having Home assistant set up for this but it doesn’t have this timeline functionality.

  • No, I’ve been a Programmer since 2004 or so, I went to university and have a bachelor in Computer Science and work as a Solutions Architect in the Automobile industry creating so called Software Factories for our customers like Volvo, Daimler Benz, Hyundai Mobis, Jaguar Landrover and many smaller not so known brands.

So it might b e that my vibe coding is different to yours, fair enough. I know what the code should look like and I’m learning by doing to guide the AI towards this goal by describing an architecture, by defining tests and checking the code manually before it’s committed, at least to some degree.

My latest adventure is a gemini:// protocol static file server https://git.jeena.net/jeena/pollux

  • At first my dad showed me how to grill a chicken in our oven and how to make mashed potatoes from powder and open a can of sauerkraut. Our mom was in the hospital for several months and our dad had to work shift so he sometimes wasn’t at home and at about 13 it was ut to me to Make lunch for me and My 11 years old sister when we came home from school.

After mastering that I did a lot of trail and error. I still for the love of god can’t cook a rabbit, it’t always terrible dry and chewie.

But other things like beef, vegetable soup, chicken, barszcz etc. I am now cooking consistently as they should taste.

But the most fun I have cooking with stuff which randomly is in the refrigerator, sometimes it’s a miss, but most of the time I have a feeling what will work well together.
