Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Places to increase a image's quality (without using AI)?
2·5 hours agoyou can’t really “increase” quality, but you can get a higher res version or find one.
use this to find the highest res url, there’s also a firefox addon https://qsniyg.github.io/maxurl/
using tineye/yandex/google reverse image search is also helpful
sorry for the nitpick but it’s 2009! 2007 is more like vista (2006)
i don’t think an old win10 installer would work, microsoft blocked the w7/8/8.1 upgrade path on their servers
KMS is microsoft’s method of product activation mostly for organizations, they can run an activation server inside an intranet for instance. Also widely used for pirating windows since it’s easy to run one of those kms emulators
https://massgrave.dev/ is a fairly recent development, they have a tool called MAS that can activate windows/office/etc using many methods including KMS

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Android 11 is the "Windows 7" of Android
1·6 hours agoI mean you can say it’s “insecure” since Google stopped providing security patches. I don’t really care much tho, I don’t keep confidential stuff on my phone, I’m not that much of a valuable target and I’ll be pwned anyway if I get targeted due to bad opsec. I’d say my phone running Android 11 with root and everything is much more “private” than most normal Android 16 phones since I have stuff like AdAway and AfWall. Android 11 still works for most apps, I’ve never seen anything not supported.
i believe you can create custom block.filters binded to your account, not sure and never tried it tho

4·1 day agotbh JB 4.1~4.3 was the best. Had real performance improvements over ICS (project butter), KK had some weird stuff like the new sdcard policy.
wish i can still use it, but even firefox ditched support so…

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•Is there any "reverse image search" that actually does its job, and doesn't just give you AI generated slop in exchange?
2·1 day agotineye and saucenao(for weeb stuff), i also use image.google.com and yandex.eu

15·1 day agoandroid 11 is more like win10, it has lots of built in bs that can mostly be mitigated. i’d say win7 = android 7~8, and 4.1~4.4 for xp…
i’m still rocking android 11, never upgrading… hopefully i can switch to a linux phone before this gets unusable

1·1 day agoare you using -current or 15.0?
sir there’s no extension support in cromite…
lol ik, i’m not talking about adblock™ but instead i mean the ad blocking feature integrated in the cromite browser. afaik it uses ABP engine/filters tho
i recently installed cromite to find its adblock completely non-functional, anyone knows if it’s just me?
(i mean the obvious ones like google ads were shown…)

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When/how frequently do you replace your phone with a new one?
