Not sure if this would help, but I found this channel helpful for understanding the basics and mostly avoiding wrong parts. Also he has some videos were he explains why you should choose one part over another.
Void with Xfce has done wonders to my atom cpu with 2 GB of ram. Also iceWM has seen a new release that might worth checking

1010·2 years agoApparently he apologized back in the 90’s, even the DAIA accepted his apologies. They’ve already stated that they’ll be monitoring him. His past doesn’t concerns the argentinian but what he can do in the future.

Hear me out, grab ventoy, a decent USB drive (32-64 gb), download debian, kubuntu (maybe), fedora/mojara, any live arch derivative (endeavour, arco, artix. Stay away of Manjaro) and anything else you found appealing. Put all of them there and go nuts. At the end of the day, it’s always night.
Also telegram is feature rich over signal. Son you have better user base and features in one hand versus e2e encryption by default on the other.
I recently took a look at latest Solus, it’s a nice distro and budgie a nice DE. I feel like it’s a nice option for those making the jump from Windows. Wish more people came across it.
