I believe you but at the same time most of the ones I have seen are from when I worked at a movie theater briefly and we used the same ones in both places…

It doesn’t look like a transparency to me. All the movie posters I have seen are white on the back, I would think it would be obvious if this were in backwards.

Anecdotally, I have had two charcoal colored cars that have both been totaled in wrecks but have had basically no wrecks in my cars that were other colors.

I get what you’re saying, but it’s probably worth pointing out that the Xbox was built on the ashes of the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast ran Windows CE, a precursor of sorts to Windows Mobile. Microsoft was perfectly happy using an already wounded Sega, who had mismanaged their last two console generations and lost a lot of users to the then fairly new PlayStation line, as the test bed for the software platforms that would eventually power the Xbox, though under a slightly different hardware platform. This is why, among other things, the Duke controller looks very much like a Dreamcast controller.

Like a lot of things that Gates did, he was standing on the shoulders of giants.

You have to remember that the only person who ever really wanted Microsoft to get into console gaming was Bill Gates and this was largely an extension of his own love of video games and obsession with getting MS into the living room. Other efforts included things like WebTV, MSNBC, and a device that led to the creation of TiVo. Ballmer cared about Bill’s legacy but once the two of them were gone nobody was left who gave a rat’s ass about Xbox.

I was a kid back then so I definitely read some of them. Though I have no memory of them having a related story or a contiguous plot line, or really of any of the plot lines anyway. I vaguely remember that there were more books later on, I’m pretty sure the ones I read were like the first few published.

I definitely remember there being Animorphs posters in our school library and shit and the software used to make the cover was very popular, at the time it was also used in several TV shows and such.

Growing up in the south, I can confirm this. Part of the reason that the South earned a reputation of lethargy in the 19th century was a rampant infestation of Hook Worm. We are very lucky to live in a time when parasites have been more under control.

I get what you are saying and I lived through HP mania too, but I didn’t ask why Harry Potter tattoos were a thing, I asked by the deathly hallows tattoo was so popular. I only know like one person who has a Harry Potter tattoo that isn’t the triangle (it’s a snitch).

Except these days most of them charge fees to apply. I’ve already spent like $300 on applications and transcripts and I still haven’t been able to start a masters degree.

I’ve been unemployed for over a year and a half… if I got a job offer from them I am not sure I could turn it down.
