A moral purist will not accept any compromises because they value their personal moral values over everything else, while someone holding harm reduction stances will accept compromises (the lesser evil) even if it morally stains them, to get better actual results. This means a moral purist is okay with letting the greater evil win as long as their own moral purity stays intact

It is true that these tyrants and fascists will only respect violence, so sometimes that is what we must use - to defend, and sometimes even to attack to prevent even worse things. I cannot see any fault in what Ukraine is doing right now for example, they have all the right to attack Russia back. But targeting schools or hospitals like Russia does? No, that would be unacceptable even as a counter.
My point is more that even the nazis still got a trials after the immediate warring was over, before they were hanged. We cannot just start random murdering, it has to be based on the moral rules we are trying to uphold, or we lose the things we are trying to defend. Where the point is when violence is needed, then, is the better question, yes

You doing real family trees, or sims family trees?

Sims family trees! What I use right now is quikflow, it’s the only tool I’ve found so far that actually allows me do what I need on the fly, since I use it as I play. The auto arranging especially is priceless, when there’s easily over 100 sims and they’re all related to each other it gets really difficult to keep track of the family without the fluid enough software for it. The trees also constantly grow and change, and I have to mark all the dead and family lines etc. and it’s just a giant clusterfuck lmao (but it’s incredibly fun). I do keep searching for a linux-usable program that would be even better suited for the trees, but so far I haven’t found any, they’re all too bulky and lack the auto arranging and/or easy cross-linking.

And yeah, I might have to just do something like that. With the lutris versions the trouble is the links keep dying (I think EA is intentionally targeting them to get people buy legacy edition), so every time I look into it they are dead already, or have installation requirements that are seriously complicated. I probably do have to jump to legacy version at some point, but then I’ll also have problems with the extra programs… yeah, I have no idea how to sort out that whole mess.

Oh no it’s not “pins and needles” it’s just disgust, I have hypersensitivity to touch in general and touching humans is basically just the worst of it for some reason. A bit like you’d step on dog shit or touch something rotting etc. I get the shivers and all that, it’s terrible. If I don’t get the unpleasant touch to stop quick enough, eventually I go crazy and will struggle like a rabid animal, since it’s so intolerable - I know because I’ve gotten to that point couple times by trying jeans on… I don’t know why or how my own limbs can trigger this shit as well, it’s just my stupid corpse being shitty I guess. I can’t do breathing exercises or mindfulness stuff either, because becoming even more aware of my body makes it so much worse

Worse, the panel is actively bothersome. If you are left handed and use touch screen, the damn panel will constantly and randomly jump out since it’s located in the left corner. And of course you can’t disable or move it. That alone would have been enough for me to throw 11 into the trash where it belongs

Understandable, yes! I lack that too though, I just don’t like to be touched nor touch others, and I do not desire it either. I do like to pet… or I guess more like poke and pat animals (though there’s specific conditions for what type of fur I will tolerate touching), but that’s about it. I can hug my dog but that’s about the extend of it. I also have problems with my own limbs touching each other or my torso which causes more issues honestly. “Touch starved” is something I simply don’t understand lmao
