This indeed, it is quite easy to scan video feeds of the interior camera and determine these characteristics, as well as link them to social media scraping to find your preferences. Scary AF

Adding “backdoors” to E2E encryption, or whatever that means, will also impact them. If a backdoor exists, malicious parties will find and exploit it. Legislators own messages, videos, photos and other media will no longer be safe either

Ronno@kbin.socialto Technology@beehaw.org•Early adopters in Mexico lend their eyes to global biometric project3·2 years agoNo clue, I’m a Dutch citizen. Do your require to do an iris scan to get a passport in the USA? Might be covered there.
Ronno@kbin.socialto Technology@beehaw.org•Early adopters in Mexico lend their eyes to global biometric project10·2 years agoIts been here for decades. It was already mandatory to provide an iris scan upon arrival in the US back when I visited New York in 2013. At the time, I was already baffled it was a requirement and wasn’t happy, but at that moment there is nothing else to do then comply. The US probably has a very big iris scan, fingerprint and passport database of at least the western world.
Glad to see that the bullshit jobs are replaced first!
You only have to pay €1,- for each visit!
Atleast it is consistent /s

Considering the size if the market share in Norway, this is quite a huge fine. If only other countries would do the same. Imagine 37m x 160 or so countries where Meta is active
It will be difficult to switch my friend groups again, now that they are finally on Signal
I don’t want it to turn into Telegram, just give me a lightweight, secure and privacy focused messaging app.
Yeah it is a good one, graphics are a bit dated, bur the game is super complete. I read some reviews of the newer games, but these appear to be repackaged mobile games, with the pay to play features stripped. The newer games also lCk management features that RT3 does have.
I bought Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for switch, just to he able to play a slow pace game while on holiday.

The criteria and rules to enter the EU have been created through decades of small changes, ensuring that every element in our norms and values is covered. Skipping some of these steps will only result in further misalignment in the future, causing friction. Look for example at Hungary. I am not sure if they took this train of thought/direction recently or if their stance towards the EU was always like this, but if it is the latter, then the EU failed to judge that in the joining process. My personal take on this is that the EU has already become too big. It used to be small at first, with countries that shared similar beliefs and culture. I think the EU today is way too polarized to be effective. Sure, it is now bigger on the world stage, making a larger fist for our policies. But has also become more difficult to draft policies, due to the cultural and economic differences of its members.

Even the democrats in the US feel more to the right, then positioned in the US. Some people go as far to call democrats communist, but I don’t think these people know what communist really is, in the same way that Americans don’t seem to know what (neo)liberal actually is. It is both entertaining and concerning to watch.

But then you start annoying the users and reduce convenience, then increase the price. What could possibly be the end goal here?
No, the issue is not cars, the issue is governments allowing, or actively pushing these companies to mass surveillance on a wide scale. This goes beyond the car. Children born today will never experience Privacy.
