Coworker buddy of mine received a thank you card in the interoffice mail for his fifteenth anniversary. It was a thank you from the wrong company. Evidently they started contracting with some outside firm that handles a bunch of large corporations and they couldn’t even get the company correct.
Nowadays it’s an email and a gift card which barely covers lunch, even at 20+ years.
Just make sure you use metric units or the whole system falls apart
At first I was frustrated by the dodge parry mechanics but they grew on me. I usually don’t have very good reflexes but I kept at it and actually got pretty skilled to the point where I beat the extra bosses. The music is brilliant and the world is so beautiful and the voice acting is perfect. Such a magnificent game.
I’m somewhat in the same boat but I remember Mister “Developers Developers Developers” Steve Ballmer who was also immortalized by the “Ballmer Peak” XKCD. https://xkcd.com/323/

The number was something I heard on this interview. They seemed to have relevant knowledge. https://www.npr.org/2025/02/27/nx-s1-5308085/rare-earth-minerals-expert-discusses-u-s-ukraine-negotiations-on-ukraines-resources
This whole thing is so silly. It costs hundreds of millions and something like 18 years to build a rare earth mine. What company would be willing to risk that investment without any sort of meaningful security arrangement?
I think if they did a special launch on SteamOS and made it super polished it would be a nice demonstration… Or maybe an exclusive demo or minigame or something along those lines. They did some nifty stuff for VR this way and it got people pretty hyped about it for a while back when Vive launched.
It’s definitely not jank. Huge fan of mine as well as some other folks here. Fw13 with AMD.
Fuck you Shoresey
Does it? Because every zoomer meme I see on here is blurry as shit
Does he actually spray tan his wang?
Yeah it could be considered a gel. It feels like wax. What you’re saying makes a lot of sense.
Or you’re an introverted realist and can’t really be “fixed” at all
I’ve owned the place for a while and every now and then I’d notice the terminal blocks he had connected the wires to. It was also pretty cool that they used the same color conventions all those years ago. It encouraged me to look into the history of Ethernet wiring as well.
The waxy stuff is part of how they manufactured the wire and works its way out over time.
More like “Stay at home and go broke.” Thanks Ticketmaster.
Wired’s YouTube channel has a fun video with a trauma surgeon discussing all of the injuries from the first 2 home alones.
A while back a few of us at work erected a festivus pole in a separate area and had the airing of grievances. It was somewhat therapeutic and boosted morale.
I don’t know much about these specific services but this is the kind of behavior I’d expect to see if you’ve got a data synchronization service running and the clocks are out of sync. Like if it thinks an action was taken in the future that was actually in the past. Might be useful to check time zone configs and any other synchronization-related items.
