You somehow manage to make that sound like polar orbits are a minor thing and equatorial orbits are superior and harder to reach when it’s the opposite. Equatorial in earth’s rotational direction is the by far easiest one. That’s the default because every other orbit is a lot harder in comparison.

…or if you are living in Russia and your location too far north makes satellites in geo-synchronous orbit sub-optimal because their angle means a much longer distance signals have to travel through that pesky stuff we breath.

This isn’t about satellite launching, Europe does this from Guiana Space Centre in Kourou for a very long time.

This is about it being the first successfull orbital launch from a European location (so without all that nice free speed you get when going for an equatorial orbit and starting close to the equator eastwards) by a private start-up less than 8 years old. On their second try in total (people following such things might remember the huge amount of explosions Rapid Unscheduled Disassemblies starting rocket projects –privat or otherwise– tend to produce in the beginning).

It’s best near the equator (and starting eastwards) if you want an equatorial orbit because then you get all the rotational energy from earth for free.

But if you want an polar orbit, so 90° to earth’s rotation that passes over north and south pole, you are not just missing out on the free speed but the rotation perpendicular to the direction you are going actually is a problem you need to compensate for with more energy spend. But the further north (or south) to the pole you move for your start the less influence has the earth’s rotation. The perfect scenario here would be a start exactly from the geographic north pole for no interference through earth’s rotation.

Das hab ich für den unwahrscheinlichen Fall reserviert, dass jemand es substantielles und positives passiert. Der Unternehmer möchte, dass es ihm gut geht. Und das nennt er dann Wirtschaft. Ob es dem Unternehmen gut geht (vorallem langfristig) ist eher zweitrangig, dass es dem gesamten Umfeld und den Arbeitern gut geht sogar kontraproduktiv.

Genauso wie der Aktionär möchte, dass seine Geldanlagen wachsen. Also nennt er den Aktienindex Wirtschaft.

Mit der Realität hat beides nicht viel zu tun.

That’s not exactly a rare feature, in fact most independent search engines do exactly that (querying the big searches while building their own index on top), and for free.

Also you can self-host a metasearch engine (for example: see here) or use one of the several dozen ones other people self-host and make available to the public.

Der Satz ist auch nur der traurige Versuch, davon abzulenken, dass das hier doch wieder nur um die eine millionste Nacherzählung des immer selben Märchens ist: Der einzelne kann so viel tun, er braucht nur die Motivation (und wenn es nicht klappt, wissen wir dann auch woran es lag *zwinker*). Du bist nicht allein. Fang doch einfach bei dir an. Klar, die Politik lässt dich völlig allein aber das wird sicher bald besser, wenn du erstmal anfängst.

Die Verbindungen sind nicht sonderlich geheim und nennen sich CDU. Man hat in gut 4 Jahren den rechten Wunschpartner von einer ~10% Partei zur stärksten Kraft gemacht, damit man endlich keine Kompromisse mehr eingehen und die Korruption frei ausleben kann. Und dazu arbeitet man währenddessen auch unaufhörlich an der Normalisierung der Zusammenarbeit. Selbst wenn das heißt, dass man sich in aller Öffentlichkeit lächerlich machen muss, um zu behaupten, dass die Brandmauer nie existiert hat, sondern nur wieder so ein linker Begriff ist, der einem in den Mund gelegt wurde. Was ja auch kein wirkliches Problem ist, denn rechte Wähler wurden, vorallem dank Social Media, großteils schon längst von der Realität entkoppelt und leben voll und ganz in der neuen post-faktischen Wirklichkeit. Die Idioten glauben halt leider immer noch, dass sie später nicht von der AfD gefressen werden.

You can’t explain it to them. There is only one thing those brain-deads without the capacity for basic empathy can understand: their own personal suffering.

So when you can’t believably tell them, that they surely will be targeted (and you can’t because their critical thinking skills are non-existent and their favorite talking-heads are telling them otherewise), there is just no point in trying.

Why would they care until it affects them personally? That would require basic empathy or the ability to think about 5 seconds ahead, which they both totally lack.

Doesn’t matter if there is another wake-up call or one million. Our politicians are corrupt and won’t work for us when their donors have another agenda.

And the mainstream media is mostly bought anyway, so the majority of people will never even hear about it.
