Apple@lemmy.world•Apple Vision Pro launch day is here: Follow along - 9to5MacEnglish
6·2 years agoYou’re able to connect an external keyboard and mouse. I’ll test it out and report back how it works.
Edit: it seems you can’t connect a mouse. It has to be the Magic Trackpad.
I’ll probably create a pinned post for questions the community has about the device. From there, I’ll answer as many as I can.

Lemmy.World Announcements@lemmy.world•Lemmy.world (and some others) were hackedEnglish
20·2 years agoPretty much. The hacker sent me a DM with the emoji which contained the malicious code. All I did was open and read it. I’m proud of the team that worked until 2 AM to not only revert the changes, but fix the exploit.

Lemmy.world Support@lemmy.world•Banned user with a ton of generic community names?English
4·2 years agoThanks for spreading the word. No one has claimed any of the community names so we’ll be running a script to purge the inactive ones. They had more than 300, so I’m glad I don’t have to remove them manually.

Lemmy.world Support@lemmy.world•Is community squatting like this allowed?English
4·2 years agoThe Kombuchawow account has been banned for community squatting and being inactive.
If there is no activity in a community, it will be purged so that others can use the name.
If you would like to claim one of the communities, please reply to this comment.

13·2 years agoI’ve sent you a message regarding the Scotland community. Overall, the team is working on standards for creating communities. Creating dozens to then “squat” will be addressed.

1·2 years agoThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is my Switch game for this weekend. I still have so much of the Depths to explore.

Wearing glasses with the Vision Pro is not really an option. You need a pretty tight fit for it to work properly. There are prescription magnetic inserts that can be ordered for $149.
I’m nearsighted, and the inserts I purchased are extremely easy to put in and remove. You would need to check if they can work with your prescription.
